Abstract
Background: CKD patients with routine HD result in excess fluid in the body. The ultrafiltration process can be used to remove or expel excess body fluids during hemodialysis. Complications of intradialytic hypotension and hypertension can occur during hemodialysis and lead to other complications such as heart failure. Objective: To analyze the relationship between ultrafiltration goal and intra-dialytic blood pressure in CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital. Method: This research is an analytical descriptive study with a cross-sectional approach. The samples taken by nurses were 100 people using Purposive Sampling Technique. Data analysis used univariate analysis. Results: Characteristics of CKD patients with HD, the majority were aged 46-55 years, 28 respondents (28%) with female gender, 56 respondents (56%), and the average pre-HD weight was 53.09 kg and the average post-HD weight was 51.63 kg. The majority of Ultrafiltration goals for CKD patients with HD were Ultrafiltration goals for CKD patients <= 2500 ml for 69 people (69%), and Ultrafiltration goals for > 2500 ml for 31 people (31%). The majority of intra-dialytic blood pressure in CKD patients with HD had intra-dialytic hypertension, 53 people (53%). Conclusion: There is a relationship between ultrafiltration goal and intradialytic blood pressure in CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital. Recommendation: Nurses provide routine education and increase HD patients' awareness of the importance of controlling blood pressure and close monitoring to avoid these complications.
