Abstract
Background: Giving basic immunization measures to infants in general can trigger painful effects. Pain due to immunization injections if not managed properly can have a negative impact on the child's emotional condition, such as fear and crying. Objective: Describe nursing care for acute pain in children during immunization by applying cuddle therapy. Methods: This study uses a descriptive approach method with case reports. Data obtained through observation with the subject of 3 babies who will be immunized against measles. The provision of decapan therapy is carried out during immunization to reduce the pain scale using the Wong-Baker Faces pain scale observation sheet during immunization. Results: Based on the assessment, the main nursing diagnosis is acute pain. The implementation carried out is to apply cuddle therapy during immunization for approximately 20 minutes. After the decapan therapy was carried out, the results of pain during immunization with a scale of 4 were included in the mild pain scale. The problem of acute pain is resolved, planning that can be done is that the mother can apply decapan therapy independently when the baby is immunized. Conclusion: The problem of pain in infants during measles immunization by giving decapan therapy can reduce the pain scale.
