Abstract
Background: Dental health problems that arise in children are damage to primary teeth, dental caries in early childhood, and rotten teeth in early childhood. Education on brushing teeth is important for young children as an effort to prevent dental health problems. The singing method was chosen as an educational method because it is interesting and easy for young children to accept. Objective: To describe nursing care by providing singing methods to improve the ability to brush teeth in early childhood. Method: This research uses a descriptive method with a case report approach. The respondents of this study consisted of 3 children aged between 4-5 years. The singing method activity is carried out 3 times using a song. Children's abilities were measured using observation sheets before and after the singing method of brushing their teeth. Results: Based on the assessment, the main nursing diagnosis was found to be a knowledge deficit related to lack of exposure to information. The implementation carried out was carrying out singing activities, brushing teeth, practicing brushing teeth before and after singing activities. After the nursing care was carried out, the results showed that the knowledge deficit nursing problem increased from 6 to 16. The knowledge deficit problem was resolved, the planning that could be done was collaboration with the client's mother to supervise routine tooth brushing at home. Conclusion: The application of the singing method of brushing teeth can improve the abilities of young children.
