Abstract
Background, The prevalence of coronary heart disease continues to increase by 35% in adults in developed countries and 40% in developing countries. The high prevalence of coronary heart disease in patients will cause comorbidities such as hypertension, cholesterol, stroke, and diabetes. The use of drugs in coronary heart disease is intended to reduce symptoms, prevent complications, and improve the quality of life of patients. The importance of rational treatment is carried out to ensure the suitability of drugs in coronary heart disease patients based on the patient's condition. Objective, This study aims to determine and evaluate the rationality of drug use in the Outpatient Installation of PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital with the following criteria: correct indication, correct patient, correct drug, correct dose, and correct interval of administration. Research Methods, This research is retrospective using secondary data in the form of medical records. The method used to analyze this research is descriptive. Research Results, The results obtained from 100 samples of coronary heart disease patients in outpatient installations in 2023 were 100% correct indication, 68% correct patient, 64% correct drug, 96% correct interval, and 100% correct dose. Conclusion, The rationality of drug use produced based on the criteria of right indication of 100%, right patient 69%, right drug 96%, right dose 100%, right interval 96%. The type of drug most widely used in this study was Bisoprolol from the beta blocker group with a total of 68 types of use and a percentage result of 16.8%. Recommendation, for further researchers can develop regarding coronary heart disease diagnosis data that will be taken. Need to be more specific in detail regarding IHD, CHF, and CAD data.
