Abstract
Background: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a condition of chronic hyperglycemia with metabolic disorders due to hormonal disorders, causing various chronic complications. Based on the results of a preliminary study at Aghisna Medika Kroya Hospital, data was obtained for 189 DM sufferers in 2022 who received health services and this will increase in 2023. On average, diabetes patients who come to Aghisna Medika Kroya Hospital have injuries and undergo surgery (debridement). An alternative non-pharmacological therapy treatment that is very effective in reducing and helping reduce pain. Lavender Aromatherapy General Objective: To describe cases of acute pain in diabetes mellitus ulcers post debridement using patient nursing care. Method: This paper uses a descriptive case study design. Case study subject were 5 patients with DM ulcers post debridement. Data collection using observation techniques, interviews and physical examination. Nursing Care Results: The main nursing diagnosis that appeared in all five of the 5 post-debridement DM ulcer patients was acute pain. Implementation is carried out according to nursing interventions, evaluation results reduce pain levels and increase pain control. Recommendation: nurses are expected to be able to apply Lavender Aromatherapy Therapy to handle acute pain nursing problems in postdebridement DM ulcer patients.
