Abstract
Background: Psychiatric disorders or schizophrenia can be experienced by everyone, if they do not have a balance in their emotional management so that more serious chronic problems will arise. The emergence of social isolation experienced by sufferers in the form of conditions of inability to interact and rejection from outside can exacerbate the mental health conditions of sufferers. An effort is needed to help patients with social isolation to be able to interact with their environment, one of which is the application of generalist therapy. General Objectives: To analyze nursing care for social isolation clients using the application of generalist therapy in the Batur 2 Puskesmas area. Methods: This study used a descriptive case study. This study apllies generalist therapy to socially isolated clients with a sample of 5 clients. The instruments used mental nursing care assessment formats, observation for sign and symtoms of social isolation clients, generalust treraphy observation sheet, and implementing nursing actions for isolation clients. Communication and therapy were carried out in 5 meeting with a duration of 30 minutes. Nursing Care Results: The average decrease in signs and symptoms of social isolation for the five clients was 7 (70%), the highest value was for clients 2 and 3 with a decrease of 8 (80%). The average ability to carry out generalist therapy for the five clients was (6.2) 80% with the highest score for clients 2 and 3 increasing to 7 (87.5%). Conclusion: There was a decrease in signs and symptoms of social isolation and an increase in social skills in nursing care using a generalist therapy application. Recommendation: Generalist therapy can be implemented to reduce sign and symptoms of social isolation in community-based mental health service.
