Abstract
Background: According to the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA), over 300 million people worldwide suffer from asthma, with it being expected to increase to 400 million by 2025. Ineffective airway clearance are a nursing problem in asthma patients. Breathing relaxation, as well as the blowing balloon technique (blowing balloons), are types of individual therapies. Objective: The purpose of this case study is to analyze nursing care for ineffective airway clearance in asthma patients at dr. Soedirman Hospital, Kebumen. Method: This case study uses a descriptive case study approach. The case study included five adult asthmatic patients. Data is collected using observation, interviews, and documentation research procedures. Result: The study found that after 20 minutes of blowing balloon therapy, the patient's breathing frequency returned to normal. Recommendations: Blowing balloons therapy is effective in overcoming ineffective airway clearance.
