Abstract
Background : Stunting is one of the impacts of ongoing dietary problems and is caused by poor health conditions due to malnutrition in the past. Stunting, also known as short stature, refers to children of the same gender, age, and race or ethnicity, who have a height below the average (-2 SD). Objective : To find out the description of the incidence of stunting among toddlers in Pagubugan Kulon village. Method : Sampling was taken using a total sampling method, namely 31 toddlers. The inclusion criteria for the case group were children aged 12-60 months who were suffering from stunting at the time of the study. Meanwhile, data collection used a questionnaire and measurement of toddler body length using an infantometer. Research Results : The age of mothers with stunted children in Pagubugan Kulon Village is good with the number of respondents being 5 people (16.1%), the employment of mothers with stunting children in Pagubugan Kulon Village is not good with the number of respondents being 14 people (45.2% ), The education of mothers with stunted children in Pagubugan Kulon Village is not good with the number of respondents being 17 people (54.8%), The frequency of stunting in Pagubugan Kulon Village is the highest in the characteristics of mothers who are early adults, 28 people (90.3%) . Conclusion : The incidence of stunting among toddlers in Pagubugan Kulon Village is still not good, namely in the short toddler category at 14 toddlers (45.2%). Recommendation : Suggestions for future researchers are that they need to know more about the factors that cause stunting more broadly.
