Abstract

Background: Hypertension is often called the silent killer because symptoms often do not arise and sufferers do not feel it. Every year, hypertension patients are increasing and the risk of complications that accompany hypertension patients is severe. It is estimated that 46% of adult hypertensive patients are not aware that they have hypertension. Less than half of adults (42%) of hypertensive patients are diagnosed and treated. Failure of hypertension treatment is caused by the main problem, namely irregular treatment Objective: to analyze factors that influence visits of patients with hypertension in the UPTD Puskesmas Mojotengah Wonosobo area. Method: Quantitative descriptive analytical research with a cross-sectional design. The study population was 1,110 hypertensive patients with a sample of 220 based on the probability sampling technique. The research instrument has been tested for validity and reliability, data was taken by asking respondents to fill out a research questionnaire. Furthermore, the data was analyzed univariately with frequency distribution analysis and bivariate analysis was performed with chi-square test. Research Results: The results showed that the age factor obtained a p-value of 0.144> 0.05, the gender factor obtained a p-value of 0.422> 0.05, the JKN ownership factor obtained a p-value of 0.000 <0.05, the knowledge factor obtained a p-value of 0.016 <0.05, the ease of access to health services factor obtained a p-value of 0.036 <0.05, the family support factor obtained a p-value of 0.019 <0.05 and the role of health workers factor obtained a p-value of 0.438> 0.05. Conclusion: there are three factors that have no relationship with visits of hypertension patients, namely age, gender and the role of health workers. Meanwhile, four other factors are related to visits of hypertension patients, namely JKN ownership, knowledge, ease of access to health services and family support. Recommendation: for further research, it is possible to innovate interventions non-pharmacological therapy to overcome hypertension so that it can reduce the incidence of hypertension.
