Abstract
Background, the prevalence of stroke is increasing every year, with around 5.5 million deaths occurring due to stroke. Stroke results in patients experiencing dependence on Activities of Daily Living (ADL). This dependence makes patients reliant on family members who provide care. Family caregivers experience psychological changes and burdens from caring for stroke patients on a daily basis Objective, to identify the relationship between the level of ADL dependence with psychological conditions and family burden in caring for stroke patients Methods, this is a quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach. Was taken by total sampling technique 103 respondents from the Working Area of Klirong 1 and 2 Health Centers. The instruments used were the Barthel Index questionnaire, Depression Anxiety Stress Scale, and Zarit Burden Interview. The date analyzed with Spearman test Results, The majority of stroke patients in the partial ADL category numbered 51 individuals (49.5%). The psychological condition of the families was predominantly in the moderate anxiety category with 52 individuals (50.5%), moderate stress with 49 individuals (47.6%), and mild depression with 45 individuals (43.7%). The family burden was categorized as moderate for 59 individuals (57.3%). There is a positive significant relationship between the level of ADL dependency and the psychological condition and family burden in caring for stroke patients with a significance level of <0.05. Recommendation, can develop research related to family health interventions, such as in family gatherings for stroke patients' families
