Abstract

Background: Failure in breastfeeding is often caused by some problems of the mother and baby. The problem in breastfeeding is nipple abrasion, swollen breasts, breast abscess (mastitis). Endorphine massage method is an alternative way in providing comfort for labor pain. Therefore, the writer is interested in conducting a case study on endorphine massage to accelerate the production of breast milk of postpartum mother about. Objective : To apply endorphine massage to increase the breast milk acceleration of post partum mother. Method: This study is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach. This was done by describing the facts obtained from interviews and direct observations to get an accurate conclusion. Result: After performing endorphine massage, there was an increase in breast milk acceleration of postpartum mother. This was indicated by the frequency of breastfeeding as many as 10 times, 8 times of the urination frequency and the duration of baby sleep (calmness) is 2 hours in 24 hours. Conclusion: The application of endorphine massage is effective in increasing the acceleration of breast milk to meet the baby needs.
