Abstract

Background: One indicator of success in handling emergency patients medically is the speed in providing adequate assistance. The level of success of this response time is highly dependent on how fast and how good the service is provided, both to save lives and to prevent disability in patients. Patient satisfaction with the response time of services in the Emergency Room is an important part of the quality of service. Objective: to determine the factors related to the response time of patient services in the Emergency Room of Prembun Hospital. Method: This study used an analytical correlation method with a cross-sectional design approach. The sample taken was 32 health workers on duty in the Emergency Room with the total sampling technique. Bivariate analysis with ChiSquare. Results: The response time in the good category was 27 people (84.4%). There was a relationship between HR skills p (Sig.) 0.003, equipment completeness p (Sig.) 0.005, and length of service p (Sig.) 0.010 with patient service response time in the emergency room of Prembun Regional Hospital. There is no relationship between age and patient service response time in the emergency room at Prembun Regional Hospital with a p value (Sig.) 0.662. There is no relationship between gender and patient service response time in the emergency room at Prembun Regional Hospital with a p value (Sig.) 0.131. There is no relationship between education and patient service response time in the emergency room at Prembun Regional Hospital with a p value (Sig.) 0.516 Conclusion: Factors related to patient service response time in the emergency room at Prembun Regional Hospital include human resource skills, complete equipment, and length of service. Recommendation: For the hospital to be able to create standard operating procedures for response time to be more optimal.
