Abstract
Background: Scabies is a skin disease caused by infection with mites commonly called sarcoptes scabies. Scabies causes discomfort because it is very itchy, so people who suffer from it often scratch, which can cause additional infections (Aminah et al, 2015). In the Karangkobar Community Health Center area, many betel leaf plants grow which have various benefits with their antiseptic properties. If compressed on the area affected by scabies, it can speed up wound healing. Objective: determine the effectiveness of wet compress therapy with boiled betel leaves to treat skin integrity disorders in scabies patients. Method: Descriptive observation with a case study approach. The subjects in this study were 5 patients suffering from hypertension, scabies sufferers with problems with skin integrity disorders, age limit for respondents (7 years to 12 years / SD), Willing to be respondents. The results : that there was healing on the third day of observation after therapy and 5 scabies patients experienced improvement in skin integrity, progressing in healing. Conclusion: Giving compress therapy using boiled water from betel leaves has proven to be useful for improving skin integrity disorders, healing the skin and reducing pain in scabies patients.
