Abstract
Background: Vaginal discharge is abnormal discharge from the vaginal opening. Usually the vaginal discharge smells or is partially odorless and accompanied by itching in the area. Young women need education about vaginal discharge. One of the methods that can be used is the snake and ladder game method. Objective: Knowing the effect of health education with the snake and ladder game method on the level of vaginal discharge knowledge in adolescent girls at SMP N 1 Kutowinangun. Method: This study used a pre-experimental method with one group pre-test and post-test. There were 72 of people with stratified random sampling techniques. The instrument was using 15-items of knowledge questionnaire. The data analysis using Wilcoxon test. Results: The results showed that there was an effect of health education with the snake and ladder game method on the level of vaginal discharge knowledge in adolescent girls (p=0.000). Conclusion: Vaginal Health Education using the snake and ladder game method is effective in increasing adolescent knowledge. Recommendation: Further research is expected to conduct further research on snake and ladder game methods and apply to a wider range of subjects.
