Abstract

Background: One of the nursing problems that arise in post-craniotomy patients is the risk of ineffective peripheral perfusion. Impaired peripheral perfusion can cause the patient's hemodynamic condition to become unstable. If this condition is ignored, it can worsen the patient's outcome. General Objective: To present the analysis of the nursing care process in post-craniotomy patients with nursing problems of ineffective peripheral perfusion risk to stabilize hemodynamic status in the ICU Room of Margono Geriatric Purwokerto Hospital. Method: Non-pharmacological actions taken to stabilize hemodynamic status so that peripheral perfusion increases and becomes stable are by providing foot massage therapy once a day for a duration of 10-15 minutes. Nursing Care Results: The five patients had nursing problems of ineffective peripheral perfusion risk. Interventions aimed at improving peripheral perfusion were based on the Indonesian Nursing Outcome Standards (SLKI) and using vital signs monitoring based on the Indonesian Nursing Intervention Standards (SIKI). The actions given were vital signs monitoring and foot massage therapy as non-pharmacological therapy. Nursing evaluation of the five patients was that the risk of ineffective peripheral perfusion had not been resolved but showed that the hemodynamic status of the five patients was stable. Recommendation: Foot massage therapy is very good for post-craniotomy patients as a therapy to stabilize hemodynamic status.
