Abstract
Background; Early marriage was still a problem in Indonesia, especially for young women who did not had adequate understood of reproductive health. This had an impact on physical and psychological health, such as the risked of pregnancy and childbirth complications. Initial studied at SMK Ma'arif 9 Kebumen showed that the majority of female students did not understood the impact of early marriage on reproductive health. Objectives; Discribing the level of knowledge of adolescent girls about the impact of early marriage on reproductive health at SMK Ma'arif 9 Kebumen. Methods; This study used a quantitative descriptive method with a surveyed approached. The sample consisted of 237 female students in grades X, XI, and XII selected through stratified random sampling techniques. Data were collected using valid and reliable questionnaires and then analysed univariately. Results; The majority of respondents were 16 years old (43.9%) and obtained their main information through the internet (30%). The leveled of knowledge of young women about the impact of early marriage was mostly in the sufficient category (53.6%), followed by the good category (25.3%) and less (21.1%). Conclusion; Most of the young women at SMK Ma'arif 9 Kebumen had a sufficient levelled of knowledge about the impact of early marriage on reproductive health. However, there was still a needed to increased understanding so that they were more aware of the risked of early marriage. Recommendation; More intensive reproductive health education programmed were needed through learned media, awareness campaigns, and parental participation.Collaboration between schools, health institutions, and communities is also important to provided more comprehensive information.
