Abstract

Background: Technological development has driven the widespread use of gadgets in daily life. Although they provide convenience, excessive gadget use can lead to negative effects, such as health issues and reduced sleep quality. It is essential to understand gadget usage behaviors to optimize its benefits.s Objective: This study aims to examine the correlation between gadget use behavior and sleep quality among nursing students in the bachelor’s degree program at Muhammadiyah University of Gombong. Method: This research employs a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. A total of 212 respondents were selected using probability sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the ChiSquare test. Results: The findings show a significant relationship between gadget use behavior and sleep quality, with a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between gadget use behavior and sleep quality. Recommendation: Future researchers are encouraged to analyze factors related to influence of gadget use and mental health.
