Abstract
Background: The long partus can cause emergency to the mother and baby. The mother may have bleeding and shock, and the baby can have fetal distress, asfiksi and caput. This illustrates the importance of delivery help by skillful health workers for most complications occur at the time of delivery. Factors that affect long labor process (long partus) are abnormality presentation, inadequate contractions, birth canal disorders, multiple pregnancies, and anemia. To deal with long partus, the writer uses active birth technique (Active Birth). This is because Active Birth is very effective in assisting the progress of labor. Objective: To know the progress of labor, and the long time of the stage 1 active phase of maternity mother by applying active birth technique. Method: The design of this study is case study approach. This was conducted on an object called as a case done thoroughly, comprehensively, and deeply by using various data sources. The study involved 3 participants and was conducted from April-May 2017. Result: active birth technique that is active birth by using birth ball and patient sitting on the ball of childbirth while shaken to the right and left to do for 10-20 minutes have been done all three participant. Opening of cervix to participant after applying progress is Ny. Y come with opening 4 cm at 15.00 wib to 10 cm at 18.00 wib, Ny. I from opening 4 cm at 17.00 wib to 10 cm at 19.00 wib, and Ny. I from opening 5 cm at 17.00 wib to 10 cm at 20.00 wib. The long period of time when I active phase becomes a faster ie Ny. Y 3 hours, Ny. I 2 hours, and Ny. I 2 hours. Conclusion: Active birth technique can make the progress of labor of stage 1 active phase normal in Independent Midwifery Clinic of Wiwik Gunandari S.ST
