Abstract
Background: The knowledge of adolescent (teenagers) about reproduction health is still poor – only 29% who know about the fertile period. This can be handled by providing reproduction health information to teenagers.This is done by using various media.One of themedia is Kespro 12+ multimedia. It is one of the media in providing reproductive health information based on multimedia. Many teenagers are not yet aware of the provision of information using Kespro 12+ apllication. Therefore, the writer is interested in applying the use of Kespro 12+ application in providing information about reproduction health in the early adolescence. Objective: To apply Kespro 12+ to increase knowledge of reproductive health, to know reproduction health knowledge level before and after being given reproduction health information using Kespro 12+ application. Method: This study usesdescriptive analytical method. It was done bydepicting and describing the facts obtained through assessment using questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Theapplicationof the Kespro 12+ multimedia was during April 2017. Result: The providinginformation about using the Kespro 12+ application has been done to the five participants during four consecutive days. The five participants had difficulties at the different game levels according to the their intial knowledge. However, most of these could be well solved. The five partisipants could improve their knowledge of productive health by 5%-25% after being given reproductive health information using Kespro 12+ application. Conclusion: The Application of the Kespro 12+ multimediain providing reproduction health information can improve adolescent knowledge in preparing for puberty.
