Abstract
Background: Long Partus is one of the causes of maternal death in Indonesia. One of the ways to overcome long partus is by applying endorphine massage. This massage can stimulate the oxytocin hormone that causes contraction of the uterus. By doing so, the process of cervical dilatation can take place shorter. In the community, maternal mothers are more likely to go through bedtime because they can not bear the pain of contractions. Therefore, the writer is interested in applying endorphine massage to speed up the time on stage I of active phase. Objective: Applying endorphine massage to accelerate the time on stage I of active phase for primiphara maternal mother, to know uterine contractions and the duration on stage I of active phase of primiphara maternal mother after applying endorphine massage. Method: This study is a descriptive analytic with case study approach. The writer describes facts obtained through interviews and direct observation. The study was conducted from March to May 2017. Result: After applying endorphine massage, the contraction of the three participants becomes adequate and the duration on stage I of active phase becomes faster. It happened to Mrs. E (4 hours 50 minutes), Mrs. R and Mrs. S (3 hours). Conclusion: The application of endorphine massage can speed up the duration on stage I of active phase of primiphara maternal mother.
