Abstract
Background : motherly care is the care with the principle of mutual respect for culture, belief and wishes of the mother. During the delivery process includes care provided to mothers starting from 1 to 4.one of the basic principles of maternal care is to include husbands and relatives during labor and delivery and a comfortable position during delivery. Objective :to implement the application of maternal health care education to the delivery assistant to know the knowledge of the companion of childbirth about the care of mothers carebefothepenkes and after done penkes. Method: using analytical descriptive method. In this case the authors describe the facts of the assessment obtained in the interview and direct observation. And the research documentation was conducted on 21 july 2017 Result : the provision of health education using counseling method has been applied to the five participants forone day.the five participats had difficulties at the level of working on different pre test questions according to their initial knowledge and the five participants were categorized less,Mr.S,Mr.F,Mr.N,Mr.S. but most can be solved well. The five participants have increased knowledge of mothers health care care for 5% - 25% after being given a maternal health education care that is included in the good category there are 4 participants, namely Mr.S,Mr.F,Mr.N,Mr.S and 1 person into the category enough that is Mr.A uses counseling methods. Conclusion :the application of lecture method in health education motherly care can increase knowledge on delivery companion.
