Abstract
Background:Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a group of metabolic diseases characterized bythe hyperglycemia that occurs due to abnormalities of insulin secretion and insulin work. There are 3 types of DM– type 1, type 2 and type 3 which is caused by abnormalities and diabetes pregnancy. Data of WHO (2010) shows that 60% of death cause of all ages in the world is because of noncommunicable diseases. According to the International Diabetes Federation in 2013, there are 382 million people in the worldsuffer from DM, and by 2035 it is estimated to increase to be 592 million. Objective:Describing nursing care fordiabetes patients to reduce blood glucose level by applying diabetes mellitus gymnasticsin Community Health Centre II of Gombong. Method:This scientific paper is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach. Data were collected through interview and observation. The subjects were 2 diabetes patients. Result: After applying DM gymnastics for 3 days, the risk of blood glucose instability was solvable. There was a decrease in blood glucose levels of Mr.E(377 mg / dl to be 170 mg / dl) and of Mrs.S(377 mg / dl to 291 mg / dl). Keywords: Nursingcare, diabetes mellitus, and diabetes gymnastics.
