Abstract
Background: The prevalence of DM patients continues to increase annually in the world, and the phenomenon is often accompanied by diabetic wound complications. By 2035, it is estimated that DM patients reach 14.1 million people with a prevalence rate of 6.67% and continue to rise. To prevent the onset of infection and accelerate the healing process of diabetic wounds required treatment of wound care, one of which uses natural honey liquid. Objective: Describing diabetic wound care using natural honey liquid in Kali Tengah Village, Gombong, Kebumen. Method: This research used descriptive method with case study approach of one patient who had diabetic wound. The instrument was a wound assessment with DESIGN-R. Results: Patient with diabetic wound suffered from damage to tissue integrity and ineffective peripheral tissue perfusion. Wound care treatment was done using natural honey liquid. The evaluation showed that the nursing diagnosis of damage of tissue integrity and ineffective peripheral tissue perfusion has been resolved. Wound care using natural honey liquid of diabetic wound stimulates the growth of granulation effectively. Keywords: DM, diabetic injury, natural honey
