Abstract
Based on estimates of WHO that globally more than 500 million people have chronic kidney disease. About 1.5 million people have to live dependent on dialysis. Patient’s with chronic renal failure need to be monitored and fluid restriction to prevent the accumulation of fluid. This paper aims to describe the nursing care given to Mr. S with chronic renal failure. The main problem in Mr. S is excess fluid volume. Intervention is made by fluid restriction. After nursing care, the results indicate fluid restriction proved effective for patients with CRF, it is done to avoid complications such as dehydration and fluid overload which both can worsen the patient's clinical. This paper may be used as a reference in the provision of nursing care to clients with chronic renal failure
