Abstract
Background:The coverage of complete basic immunization is still less than the target that has been determined. This is because the baby has dropped out (DO). The mother responds in the form of fear towards side effects of immunization. Pain is one of the side effects of immunization injection. Family Triple Support (FTS) is an integrated intervention involving the role of parents in overcoming pain problems during infant immunization procedure plus Atraumatic Care which is therapeutic care that does not cause trauma to children and family. Therefore the writer interested in applying Family Triple Support (FTS) based on Atraumatic care for baby (infant) pain response during DPT 1 immunization. Objective: To know the influence of Family Triple Support (FTS) based on Atraumatic care on infant pain response during DPT 1 immunization. Method: This study uses descriptive analytic methods by providing an overview of care provided through direct observation with case study method. This was conducted from February to May 2017. Outcome: Family Triple Support (FTS) based on A traumatic care was applied to 5 participants. Participant 1 experienced mild pain, Participants 2 and 4 had moderate pain, Participants 3 and 5 experienced severe pain. Conclusion: Family Triple Support (FTS) based on Atraumatic care affects infants during immunization of DPT 1.
