Abstract
Background: Based on the result of a national survey (2009), SC delivery is about 22.8%. The major complications of SC delivery are the destruction of organs, such as vesica urinary and uterus during surgery, and anesthetic complications, such as bleeding, infection and thromboembolism. Wound care with Natrium Chlorida 0.9% (NaCl 0.9%) is a way to prevent infection. NaCl can be used to clean the wound because the NaCl 0.9% contains isotonic and does not interfere with the wound healing. Objective: Providing an overview of the application of wound care with NaCl 0.9% on post partum SC in Bougenvile ward of dr. Soedirman hospital of Kebumen. Method: This scientific paper is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach. Data were obtained through interview, observation, physical examination, and documentation study. The subject was a post partum SC mother. Result: After having a treatment using NaCl 0.9% on post partum SC patient, there was no sign of infection and the process of wound healing was faster. Conclusion: Wound care with NaCl 0.9% is effective to accelerate the wound healing of post partum SC. Keywords: Section caesarea (SC), Wound care, NaCl 0,9%
