Abstract
Background: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a dangerous disease which is often called the silent killer in addition to heart disease, which is one of the major health problem. Diabetes Mellitus from the Greek: diabainein, translucent or shower and Latin: Mellitus, (sweetness), also known in Indonesia by the term sugar urine disease or diabetes. Indonesia is a country that was ranked 7th in the world with the largest population in DM patients under China, India, USA, Brazil, Russia and Mexico (MOH, 2013). Based on data from the IDF Diabetes Atlas, by 2015 the number of people with diabetes in Indonesia reached 8,554,155 people, where one in five patients with DM was aged under 40 years, that between 20 to 39 years as many as 1.671 million people, while those aged 40 to 59 years as many as 4.651 million people and the remaining 60 to 79 year old adults. In 2035 the number jumped to DM predicted to number 14.1 million people with a prevalence rate of 6.67 per cent for the population. Objective: With the nursing process, the authors were able to do exactly the efforts to resolve the problem in the case of clients with Diabetes Mellitus impaired nutritional imbalance is less than the body needs to use the nursing process approach asuahan are arranged in a systemic and comprehensively. Methods: This scientific paper is an analysis of three nursing care to clients with diabetes mellitus by means of the assessment problem formulation, data analysis, intervention and evaluation. Results: The results obtained from the nursing care clients who have diabetes mellitus weight loss, weakness. Diet and family support and proper exercise can improve life kuwalitas clients with diabetes mellitus. Keywords: diabetes mellitus, nursing care, nutritional diet Recommendation: it is expected to develop further analysis of nursing care in koperhensip.
