Abstract
Background: Acute coronary syndrome occurs due to the decrease in blood supply to the miocard resulting in an imbalance between the supply and oxygen demand of the miocard. Health Profile Report of Central Java in 2013 shows that the incidence of heart disease and blood vessels is 69.51% (743.204 cases) and as many as 28.596 cases are cardiac decompensation. Heart disease and blood vessels are non-communicable diseases leadingto the main cause of death during 2009-2013 Objective: Providing nursing care for patient with cardiac output decrease by applying oxygen therapy in ICU of Muhammadiyah hospital of Gombong. Method: This study is an analytical descriptive with a case study. Data were obtained through interview, observation, physical examination, and documentation study. The subject was a patient having cardiac output decrease. Result: After applying nursing for 3 days,there was a decrease in the scale of pain of the patient, from 7 to be 4 and shortness of breath was solvable. Recommendation: Nursee is expected to improve the service quality in providing nursing care. Keywords: cardiac output, acute coronary syndrome, Nursing care, oxygen therapy
