Abstract
Background: Pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) is a contagious infectious disease that everyone may suffer. The highest prevalence of pulmonary TB in Kebumen is in the working area of Community Health Centre II of Karanggayam with 20 cases. The patients may have psychosocial health problem (situational low prestige). Objective: Describing nursing care for pulmonary TB patients having self-concept disorder, i.e. situational low prestige. Method: This Scientific paper is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, physical examination, and documentation study. The subjects were 2 pulmonary TB patients having situational self Prestige. Result: After heaving nursing care for 3 days, there were response decreases in cognitive by 4 (patient 1) and 2 (patient 2), affective by 6 (patient 1) and 5 (patient 2), physiological by 6 (patient 1) and 4 (patient 2), behavioral by 2 (patient 1) and 1 (patient 2), social by 2 (patient 1) and 3 (patient 2). While the ability of positive thinking, of deep breathing technique, and dzikir of both patients had increased by100%. Recommendation: Nurses are expected to providenot only physical nursing care but also psychosocial nursing care for pulmonary TB patients having low prestige.
