Abstract

Background: Burn is a trauma caused by heat, electrical current, chemicals and lightning that affect the skin, mucosa and deeper tissues causing skin integrity damage. Honey and gamat can be manipulated as a therapy to speed up the healing process of burns, Objective: Knowing the wound healing process of burn which includes three phases: inflammatory phase, reconstructive phase, and maturation phase. Method: This study is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach. The data was obtained from interview, direct observation, and then being documented. Result: After treatment, the obtained results were the depth (reddish shiny appearance), the exudate (light : no need to change the dressing every day), the size (64 cm - <100 cm), the infection (no), the granulation (healthy granulation reaches 90% or more), the necrotic (no), the pocket (no). Recommendation: Honey and Gamat Therapy is recommended for topical use as dressing on wound care on combustio clients. With the effective result of repair of wound after treatment using honey and gamat therapy.
