Abstract
Background: World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that in the coming 2020 the rate of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) will increase from rank 6 to rank 3 as the common cause of death. The case of COPD in Kebumen regency in 2015 is as many as 119 cases. Based on those facts, it is necessary to prove best nursing care for COPD patients. Objective: Describing nursing care for patients of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease having ineffective airway clearance in Muhammadiyah hospital of Gombong. Method: This scientific paper is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach. The data were obtained through interview, observation, physical examination, and documentation study. The subjects were 2 patients of COPD. Result: After having nursing care for 3 x 24 hours, the ineffective chronic airway clearance of both patients was not solvable.
