Abstract
Background: chronic kidney disease patients undergoing hemodialysis have anxiety. One of independent nursing treatments to handle anxious patient is distraction and relaxation technique such as murottal Al-Qur’an. Objective: To determine audio distraction effect: murottal qur'an on the level of anxiety of chronic kidney disease patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy at Dr.Soedirman State Hospital of Kebumen Methods: This study was a quasi-experimental research with one group pretestposttest design. The samples were 40 patients taken by total sampling technique. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and t-test for bivariate analysis. Results: Most respondents before intervention had moderate anxiety category (57.5%) while after intervention showed low anxiety category (57.5%). There was an audio distraction effect: murottal qur'an on the level of anxiety of chronic kidney disease patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy at Dr.Soedirman State Hospital of Kebumen as indicated by p-value p (0,000<0,05).
