Abstract
Background: Stroke is an increasingly health problem since the stroke patient of Indonesia is on the first rank in Asia. Stroke patient usually has consciousness decrease and respiratory circulation disturbance. These will cause problemsin airway clearance because of accumulation of secretion. Thesecretioncan be handled by performing mucus suction. Objective: To analyze the nursing care forstroke patients, escpecially hemorrhagic stroke patient with ineffective airway clearance problems in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of dr. Soedirman of Kebumen. Method:This scientific paper is an analytical descriptive with a case study. Data were obtained through interview, direct observation, physical examination, and documentation study. The subject was Mr. K, a hemorrhagic stroke patient. Result:After having nursing care, the airway clearance of the patient was not totally solvable because there were still shortness of breath and additional breath sound.
