Abstract
Background: Immunization is a way to prevent to the occurrence of infectious diseases caused by viruses or bacteria. Parents should give immunization to their children. But parents need to have good knowledge. When parents already have a good knowledge of immunization, it is expected that support from the family will be good too. Objective: To know the correlation of mother’s knowledge and family support towards immunization with immunization status in work area of Puskesmas Sempor I. Method: This study uses correlation method with cross sectional approach. The samples in this study are 47 mothers who have 11-month-old infants. The samples were taken by total sampling. Data analysis is done by using descriptive analysis and bivariate analysis.The bivariate analysis was done by using chi-square statistic test. Result: Based on the research conducted, most of mothers having babies in the age of 11 months have good knowledge, and good support as well. There is a correlation between mother’s knowledge and immunization status with p value 0.000 (p<0.5), but there is no relation between family support with immunization status in the work area of Puskesmas Sempor I with p value 0.108 (p>0.05).
