Abstract
Background: Every individual has the right to be born healthy. A baby born has also his own right to get quality service. As the technology and the community dynamics are improving, the demand of health services for mothers and children is increasing to be a quite hard challenge. Normal labor care (delivery care) is a part of the care standard. All actions in labor must conform to the standard set in normal delivery care. Objective: To know the description of active management at the third stage of maternal mothers in the working areas of Puskesmas Kemiri, Purworejo. Method: This research used descriptive method with survey approach. The total samples are 30 midwives taken in total sampling. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. Results: The study found that midwives had not fully administered oxytocin to maternal mothers folowing the normal labor care (APN) procedure – 11 respondents (36.7%) did not inform the mothers that they would get injections. All midwives (100%) perform the implementation of controlled umbilical cord sepparation of maternal mothers in accordance with APN procedure. All midwives (100%) perform the implementation of tactile stimulation (massage) fundus uteri of maternal mothers by following the APN procedure.
