Abstract
Background: The number of caesareaesectio surgery in the world has increased sharply in the last 20 years. Cesarean delivery is often accompanied by pain due to an abdominal incision. Based on the result of study, the emerging pain scales after abdominal wall surgery are mild pain (25 %), medium pain (27 %), and heavy pain (26,8 %). To reduce the pain, it is necessary to apply Murottal AlQur’an therapy. Objective: Describing nursing care by applying Murottal Al-Qur’an therapy to reduce pain of post-surgical sectiocaesareae (SC) patient. Method: This scientific paper is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach. Data were collected through interview, observation, physical examination, and documentation study. The subject was a post-surgical SC patient. Result: After having nursing care by applying Murottal Al-Quran for 3 x 24 hours, there was a decrease in pain scale of post-surgical SC patient from 4 became 3. Conclusion: The application of Murottal Al-Quran can decrease the pain ot postsurgical SC patient. Keywords: Pain, post-surgical SC, Murottal therapy, nursing care
