Abstract
Background: Data obtained from Indonesia Health Profile (2010) show edthat the number of typhoid and paratyphoid fever patients atin patient room was 41081 cases. There were276 patients of them died. Thypoid fever is still a major health problem in Kebumen. Objective: to describe nursing care of ful filling secure and protection needs (thermoregulation) to Miss N in Inayah ward, PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital of Gombong. Discussion: The nursing diagnoses were hyperthermia, and lack of knowledge. Interventions and implementations were monitoring the temperature every 3 hours, giving a warm compress on the fore head and armpit, giving antipyretic drugs paracetamol 500 mg, giving antibiotic drugs ceftriaxone 1 g, monitoring vital signs. Results: the evaluations conducted during three days showed that hyperthermia and the lack of knowledge were resolved.
