Abstract
Background: The family at the stage of development of school age is the stage begins when the first child aged 6 years to 12 years old children, where health behavior, especially personal hygiene of school children susceptible to disease transmission. So the authors are interested to provide family nursing care with risk prone health behavior problems. Objective: Providing an idea of nursing care in the family with the stage of development of school-aged children with risk prone health behavior problems Method: This case study uses analytic descriptive approach with case study approach. The subject is 2 families at the stage of development of school-age children with risk prone health behavior problems in the working area of Gombong II Community Health Center. Result: Implementation was carried out to the two assisted families, namely the provision of health education on hand washing and hand washing demonstration with the results of the evaluation obtained in both families built an increase in the application of handwashing behavior on family Tn.H by 44% and Tn.M family by 28%. Conclusion: Health education can improve knowledge and change behavior in the family, especially in families who have risk prone health behavior problems.
