Abstract
Background: Development stage of pre-schooling age is the stage begins when a child is at the age of 3 years old and ends when the child is 5 years old. Parents play a very important role in this stage so as to bring up their child well. However, there are still parents do not have good ability in this matter. Therefore, the writer is interested in giving health education about inability to be parents. Objective: Describing family nursing care for parents having pre-schooling age about the inability to be parents. Method: This scientific paper is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach. Data were obtained through interview, observation, and documentation study. The subjects were 2 couples having pre-schooling children. Result: After 5 times having family nursing care, the knowledge level of parents had increased – indicated by the percentage score 45.45% - 75.75% (Mr. S family), 48.48% - 69.69% (Mr. J family). Conclusion: The given family nursing care can improve the knowledge level of parents in upbringing their children in the stage of pre-schooling development.
