Abstract
Background: The ineffectiveness of the airway clearance is the respiratory track interference because of the presence of blockage inside of the airway marked by the hard breathing and the increasing respiration rate. Objective: Ilustrating the nursing care for pneumonia patients with ineffectiveness of the airway clearance comprehensively. Method: This study is an analytical descriptive in the form of a case study with nursing care approach in An. A and An. K. Nursing Care: The patients felt asphyxiate, cough, flu, respiration rate increasing, and there was ronchi lung auscultation. The obtained problem was the ineffectiveness of the airway clearance connected with the exudate in the alveoli path. The nursing care plans to resolve the ineffectiveness were vital sign and respiration monitoring, chest physiotherapy, and giving antibiotics therapy. Nursing care for both patients was conducted in 3x24 hours’ time. The evaluation result of the ineffectiveness of airway clearance problems was resolved. Conclusion: Treatment of chest physiotherapy can overcome airway clearance ineffectiveness.
