Abstract

Background: This scientific paper based on data obtained from various sources of literature that states oxygen is the most important physiological needs. One of the problems of oxygenation is ineffective airway clearance. In patients with pulmonary tuberculosis in abnormal circumstances excessive mucus production (due to physical, chemical or infectious disorders occurring in the mucous membranes) causes the cleansing process to be inadequately normal, so that the mucus is heavily loaded and airway clearance will be ineffective. General purpose: the writing of scientific papers is to know the nursing care of TB patients with ineffective clearance of airway. Discussion: nursing problems that arise are ineffective airway clearance associated with mucus buildup characterized by coughing up phlegm and ineffective cough, shortness of breath, additional breath sounds, cold sweat and RO Thorax results: theory. Intervention and implementation that has been done is in the form of effective cough technique. Evaluation: Based on the implementation conducted for 3 days, it is concluded that there is an effect of effective cough exercises on airway clearance in TB patients
