Abstract
Background: Typhoid fever is still the third rank disease of the top ten diseases in Indonesia. The incidence of typhoid fever in Kebumen in 2011 was 1379. Typhoid patient usually has thermoregulation disorder, especially hyperthermia problem. Therefore, best nursing care has to be provided to overcome hyperthermia of typhoid patients. Objective: Describing nursing care for typhoid patients having hyperthermia as the effect of thermoregulation necessity disorder. Method: This study is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach involving 2 patients with impaired thermoregulation need: hyperthermia. The data were collected through interview, observation, physical examination, and documentation study. Result: After having nursing care for 3 x 24 hours, there was a decrease in temperature, i.e. from 37.6°c to be 36.2°c (patient I), from 38.3°c to be 37.7°c (patient II). Conclusion: Hyperthermia of both typhoid patients was solvable.
