Abstract
Background: Tobacco consumton in ndonesia has reached an alarming situation. Consumption of cigarettes in Indonesia is also increasing rapidly for all ages 35,4% from year to year. One of the factors that causes a person to have good self-control to not smoke one of them spiritual intelligence. A person who has good spiritual intelligence can do self-management to not smoke. Objective: To know the relationship of spiritual intelligence to the smoking habits of male students at Muhammadiyah Health Science Institute Of Gombong. Samples totaled 213 students taken in total smapling. Data were analyzed using descriptive and correlative analysis using kendal tau test. Method: Tis research uses correlational method with with cross-sectional approach. Samples totaled 213 students taken in total sampling. Data were analysed using descriptive and correlative analysis using kendal tau test. Result: Most respondent with spiritual intelligence in the category of good (64,8%). Most respondents with moderate smoking habit (43,7%). There is a relationship of spiritual intelligence with smoking habits of male studedents at Muhammadiyah Health Science Institute Of Gombong (p=0,004).
