Abstract
Background: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disorder syndrome and is characterized by hyperglycemia. One of the complications that pose a large problem in patients with DM is the emergence of problems in the legs that can lead to amputation and death. Prevention feet DM can be done in a way that emphasizes the metabolic control of blood glucose levels and non-invasive vascular examinations such as examination of the ankle brachial index. Objective: To determine the correlation of blood glucose levels with grades Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) in patients with diabetes mellitus at DR. Soedirman State Hospital Kebumen Methods: This study uses crosss sectional correlational approach. Samples were 30 samples taken by accidental sampling. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and Pearson correlation. Results: This study resulted in the finding that the average diabetic patients blood glucose levels at Dr Sudirman Kebumen is 227.17 mg / dL. The average value of Ankle Brachial Index in diabetic patients is 0.9470. Conclusion: There is no correlation between the blood glucose levels with grades Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) in diabetic patients at at DR. Soedirman State Hospital Kebumen (p) 0422> 0.05.
