Abstract
Background: Traffic accidents are the main killers of young people aged 10-24 years. First Aid is usually given by people around the victim who will contact the nearest health care person. Lack of knowledge about first aid in accidents causes motivation to help in less latent accident. Objective: To know the relationship of knowledge level about first aid in accident with motivation to help traffic accident at adolescent at SMK Binakarya I Karanganyar Method: This research uses correlation method with cross-sectional approach. The sample was 117 teenagers taken by purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using descriptive and correlative analysis using chi square test. Results: This study found that most respondents in SMK Binakarya I Karanganyar with sufficient level of knowledge knowledge (64.1%). Most respondents in SMK Binakarya I Karanganyar with motivation to help traffic accidents (69.2%). Conclusion: There is a correlation of knowledge level about first aid in accident with motivation to help traffic accident at adolescent at SMK Binakarya I Karanganyar (p = 0,001)
