Abstract
Background: Someone having a low spiritual level can not internaliaze his religion well. Consequently, he will easily break the religion rules, such as having pre-marital sex. Objective: To find out spiritual and sexual behavior of adolescents of Muhammadiyah Schools in Kebumen. Method: This research was conducted by using descriptive method with survey approach. The samples were 152 teenager adolescents taken by purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. Result: Most of the adolescents of Muhammadiyah students have good spiritual category, i.e. 76.1% of Senior High School of Gombong, 72.7% of Muhammadiyah Senior High School of Kebumen, and 75.8% of Muhammadiyah Health Science Institute of Gombong. The majority of respondents have different sexual behavior, i.e. students of Muhammadiyah Senior High School of Gombong have hand-held sexual behavior (56.5%), students of Muhammadiyah Senior High School of Kebumen have imaginative sexual behavior (63.6%), and students of Muhammadiyah Health Science Institute of Gombong have active sexual behavior (62.1%). Recommendation: High school teachers and lecturers are expected to be able to guide their students so as to prevent their pre-marital sexual behavior.
