Abstract
Background: Based on World Health Organization (WHO) garbage is something that is no longer useful. Garbage management in Gombong is still poor (50%). The data shows that 40m3/a day is transported to landfills.. Muhammadiyah Health Science Institute of Gombong is located in a small town, Gombong where the urban village has a high waste distribution of 300.53 ha Objective: To know the correlation of waste disposal behavior of the students and infrastructure facilities in Muhammadiyah Health Science Institute of Gombong. Method: This study uses sample correlation design method. The samples are 338 students taken by using random sampling. The data was analyzed by using chi square test. Result: There are 144 students (42,6%) having fairly behavior, 117 students (34.6%) having poor behavior, and the lowest percentage is good category – 77 students (22,8%). Conclusion: There is a correlation of waste disposal behavior of the students and infrastructure facilities in Muhammadiyah Health Science Institute of Gombong. Recommendation: The head of Muhammadiyah Health Science Institute of Gombong hopefully provide more dustbins in the campus.
