Abstract

The incidence of menstrual pain in the world is very large on average more than 50% of women in every country experience menstrual pain. The incidence rate (prevalence) of menstrual pain is around 45-49% among women of reproductive age. This objective explains the nursing care of lemon aromatherapy inhalation in primary dysminorrhea clients in Kalibeji village, Sempor sub-district, Kebumen district. In accordance with the assessment obtained diagnoses nursing family's koping in 5 respondents with non-pharmacological techniques to reduce pain intervention by giving lemon aromatherapy inhalation. The results of the implementation and evaluation conducted to reduce pain on the first day, second and third pain scale decreased, so the problem of family coping incapability is resolved. Techniques to reduce menstrual pain (dysminorrhoea) nonpharmacologically can be done with inhalation of lemon aromatherapy, this action performed on the first day, second, and third menstruation in patients who have dysminorrhoea. This action is used as a nursing innovation to reduce menstrual pain (dysminorrhoea) or other pain.
