Abstract
Diarrhea is a condition when defecation is more than three times a day, either in soft or liquid consistency. One of the symptoms is the increased body temperature or hyperthermia. Hyperthermia is a state of elevated body temperature above the normal range due to thermoregulation failure. The solution for hyperthermia can be done by pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment acts. One of non-pharmacological acts against heat reduction is to compress by using tepid sponge technique. The main purpose of explaining analysis of nursing care children with fulfillment base needs safe comfortable thermoregulation : hypertermia to case diarrhea in Aster RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto. The result analysis of nursing problem taken by the writers is hyperthermia. After nursing act was conducted by innovatig tepid sponge to diarrhea patient and 2x24 hour-observation was done in room Aster RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto, the result showed that tepid sponge technique was proven effective to lower body temperature. It is recommended to use tepid sponge therapy for children having hypertermia along with diarrhea because it can avoid extreme body temperature increase, seizure, and unconsciousness.
