Abstract
Background: Mastectomy is a treatment of breast cancer by lifting the entire breast tissue. Short-term effects are pain, infection risk, and long-term effects of mastectomy have an enormous effect on quality of life due to pain, body image disturbance, discomfort. It is also necessary to give approach to the family in order to always support the patient, giving explanation about the disturbance of body image to the family, so that the family can care the patient at home well. Objective: To analyze nursing care on post op mastectomy client with problem of body image disorder in Bougenvile Room of RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto. Result: Provision of intervention in the form of family support to the client ca mammae has been able to overcome the body image in part, but the increase of body image can not be increased directly, but gradually with the existence of support from the family. Conclusion: The provision of intervention in the form of family support is very influential on the process of enhancing the body's body. Suggestion: The next researcher is expected to observe and help provide longer family support in order to get maximum results.
